This is a journal devoted to my pedaling from California across to different locations around the USA. There isn’t a pattern to my travel to find work. This is my process of finding work in the USA. The time frame starts in May 2010.
In the following weeks, months and years this journal will show in pictures and writing what my lifestyle situation is. I’m not forced into this. Didn’t loose my license or get arrested for a DUI. (Haven’t you heard that line about bicycle riders before? )
An most importantly I don’t consider myself homeless.
I’m open to working for food and cash. A place to shower and clean my clothes. I’m not looking for a long term working relationship. Rather a job that I enjoy while involved in helping others. Don’t get me wrong I’ll be glad to work for 12 months or more but finding that isn’t possible these days. Haven’t given up the possibility though.
Digging, washing dishes, bucking bales, mucking out stalls, painting, yard work, assembly line, website editing etc…
Habitat for Humanity is a place I would be glad to work for. So if you read this send them a email about this website.
I have a tent that will allow me the freedom of staying warm and dry without having to impose on others for a place to stay out of the weather. That’s until I can find a secure room to keep my bicycle with trailer and personal property.
